Connance was founded in 2007 to support healthcare providers in leveraging data and predictive technology to drive process improvement. Our journey started with patient-pay revenue then quickly expanded to commercial and government payors and across to provider’s business process outsource partners. Along the way, we helped the industry understand that analytics need to be coupled with workflow, shifting the dialogue to embedding predictive insight inside core systems and processes.
Our passion for finding new ways to transform insights into action and putting the patient at the center of the healthcare business model underpinned our initial steps in 2015 into social determinant analytics and patient care. With better insight about the patient’s home and community, we knew provider resources could meet the challenge of better outcomes at lower cost.

Steve LevinChief Executive Officer
Steve co-founded Connance after working for nearly 20 years as a management consultant with Monitor Group. In that capacity, Steve worked extensively with leading healthcare providers, health insurers, and revenue cycle services companies. Steve holds a BA from Dartmouth College and an MBA from Harvard Business School. He is a frequent speaker at industry events and author of industry articles.
David FranklinChief Operating Officer
David co-founded Connance, and is now responsible for product management, new product development and client implementation efforts. For 15 years, David was a Partner at Monitor Group, helping companies make smarter decisions and improve operations through the applied use of analytics. David holds degrees from the Wharton School and the School of Engineering of the University of Pennsylvania.

Bill has over 20 years experience as Counsel for healthcare industry companies and is a Connance co-founder. Bill was SVP and Assistant General Counsel for Tenet Healthcare Corporation. Bill also co-founded InteCare, LLC. Bill holds a BA from Boston College and a JD from University of Santa Clara School of Law where he was Articles Editor for the Santa Clara Law Review.
D. Tyler DroletChief Financial Officer
Tyler joins Connance from Qvidian, where he served as Chief Financial Officer for the SaaS-based RFP and proposal automation firm. Prior to Qvidian, he was CFO for Active Endpoints, a process automation software business. In addition, the Bucknell University graduate has a broad range of experience working with a variety of software firms. Drolet began his career at Arthur Andersen LLP.
Lori M. JonesChief Revenue Officer
Lori is a proven executive with a track record of achieving unprecedented success increasing revenues for leading healthcare information technology companies. Most recently, she was Executive Vice President and General Manager at Brightree where she was a part of the executive management team that helped achieve a profitable sale to Resmed. Prior to that, her leadership as Chief Commercialization Officer at Airstrip helped accelerate growth. Lori began her career at McKesson where she was instrumental in transforming the sales and account management processes and was ultimately promoted to Senior Vice President. She is a graduate of The Ohio State University.
Ryan BengtsonSenior VP, Clinical Innovation
Ryan is an accomplished healthcare consulting executive with a successful track record of developing and launching new service lines, growing existing businesses, leading strategic initiatives, selling and implementing performance improvement projects, and driving significant financial and operational results for clients. Prior to joining Connance, Ryan was an Industry leader in healthcare provider consulting services at Huron Consulting Group. He started his career with Accenture. He holds a Master of Health System Administration from University of Michigan.

W. Randolph SmithChairman
Randy Smith is a veteran healthcare industry executive with more than 40 years in various leadership and operating positions. Smith retired from Tenet Healthcare as President of Tenet Healthcare’s Western Division in 2005 where he was responsible for more than 51 acute care facilities plus associated ancillary and ambulatory facilities. Prior to his employment with Tenet in 1995, he was Executive Vice President of American Medical International, Inc. where he served in various capacities over 16 years. He is the Chairman of the Board of Managers of HealthTech Solutions Group, LLC. He has a long and extensive history of membership and leadership in various healthcare and community organizations. He holds a BA from Furman University and MHA from Duke University.
Steve LevinCo-founder & CEO
Steve Levin is CEO of Connance and co-founded the company after working as a management consultant with Monitor Group. Levin has worked extensively with leading healthcare providers, health insurers and revenue cycle services companies to help them significantly and sustainably increase their financial performance. He holds a BA from Dartmouth College and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
Tom Carretta has more than 20 years of experience in legal leadership positions. Carretta currently serves as Vice President, Legal and Associate General Counsel for Fair Isaac Corporation, an enterprise level publicly held software, analytics and services company serving the global financial services and related markets. Prior to his position at Fair Isaac, from 2000 to 2005 he served as General Counsel and Secretary for Retek Inc., a publicly held software and services company serving tier-one retailers. From 1998 to 2000 he served as General Counsel and Secretary for Firepond, Inc., a public business rules software tool company. Before joining Firepond, from 1988 to 1998, Carretta was General Counsel and Secretary for Control Systems, Inc. and affiliated companies which provide PC network and graphics hardware and software.
Rich D’Amore has almost three decades of experience in the venture business. D’Amore has been with North Bridge since the company’s inception in 1994. Before co-founding North Bridge, he spent fourteen years at Hambro International Equity Partners, establishing the firm’s Boston office. His investments have been split between early stage projects and special situations. Before joining Hambro in 1982, he worked as a consultant at Bain and Company and was a Certified Public Accountant with Arthur Young and Company.
D’Amore received a BS from Northeastern, summa cum laude, in 1975. He also has an MBA from Harvard University Graduate School of Business Administration where he was a Baker Scholar. A dedicated supporter of higher education, he is on the Board of Trustees at Northeastern University, where he promotes innovation and research that can drive economic growth.
Steve Farber is a Co-founder of Connance and its initial Chairman of the Board of Directors and CEO. He was previously Chief Financial Officer of Tenet Healthcare Corporation and an Executive-in-Residence with Warburg Pincus LLC. He began his career as an investment banker with Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette, and J.P. Morgan.
Ken Saitow has more than two decades of healthcare consulting experience, most recently as a Managing Director in Huron Consulting Group’s Healthcare Practice, one of the nation’s largest healthcare management consulting firms, providing comprehensive performance improvement solutions for leading healthcare organizations. Prior to Huron Healthcare, Saitow was an Owner of Stockamp & Associates Inc., which was acquired by Huron Consulting Group, Inc. in 2008, and a Partner within the Global Health Services Practice at Accenture.
Rosemary Sheehan brings a wealth of experience in health care revenue cycle operations and physician practice management to Connance. As Vice President, Revenue Cycle Operations, Partners HealthCare, she leads all revenue cycle functions. Prior to her current role, Sheehan was Executive Director, Professional Billing Office, Massachusetts General Physician Organization. She holds an MBA from Babson College.
